who are we?
Newburgh Community Land Bank comprises of a committed group of individuals that serve as our Board of Directors and Staff. Our goal is to work collectively and transparently with the community to bring vacant and abandoned properties back on the market and to encourage rehabilitation and growth of our city through development that addresses the specific needs and priorities of each neighborhood. Madeline has worked in the real estate realm for fifteen years, first in housing finance and then as a land use attorney. She has led the Land Bank since its formation in 2012 and was involved in the planning process that preceded its creation.
Burke Blackman became Project Director in 2017, previously serving as the Research & Design Coordinator. A former corporate attorney with a decade of experience, Burke oversees existing programs and projects and coordinates community assessment and engagement to help identify new development opportunities.
Amy Blair joined NCLB in 2017. She previously served as the Associate Director for Finance & Administration at the Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute at Baruch College, CUNY. Amy oversees operations, administration, and finance activities at NCLB.

Diana Mangaser is a Newburgh resident, with a background in architecture and the arts. She has been with the land bank since 2014, previously as Design Director, and will continue to manage the Artist-In-Vacancy Program through 2018.
