purchase property from our inventory.

Through the House to Home program, NCLB helps City of Newburgh residents become first-time homebuyers by making fully renovated residences available for owner-occupancy. Prospective participants must have a family household income under 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI)* - about $65,000 for a family of 4 - and have lived in Newburgh for at least five years. Our partner PathStone assists in evaluating applicants and provides no-cost home buyer education and counseling, as well as access to their down payment and closing cost assistance programs.
Under this program, 53 Farrington sold in 2017. 55 Farrington is currently in contract.

NCLB is one of only six land banks selected to participate in Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman’s N4N pilot program, which is providing a total of up to $4 million in subsidies for everyday New Yorkers to rehabilitate vacant neighborhood property into affordable rental housing. The initiative was inspired in part by our past project at 13 Chambers Street, which features an owner-occupied commercial unit and three affordable apartments. Building on the success of prior projects with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh, we look forward to continuing to work together to create high quality, affordable home ownership opportunities for up to 10 families over the next two years.
